About this cell

Configurable cell — Twin layout — Factory built and Integrator installed

Robot + Welder + 2 Positioners. Twin layout, zero downtime.

Base build = robot + integrated welder + 2 mirror positioners. Operator loads on side A while the robot welds on side B.

A 6-axis industrial robot, a welding power source and two positioners arranged in mirror layout — fully integrated and synchronized. While one part is being welded, the operator unloads and reloads the other side. The robot rotates between stations, the cycle never stops. Tell us the part, the cycle, the load time — we engineer, integrate, test and ship.

We build and test the cell. You install it.

We engineer, integrate, program and factory-test the complete cell in our workshop. You receive a documented, ready-to-deploy package — drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, FAT report. Final installation and commissioning on your shop floor is done by your team or your trusted integrator. We support remotely (video calls, technical Q and A) during installation. Cleaner scope, faster delivery, lower cost.

Why this configuration

Two stations. One robot. Zero idle time.

In a single-positioner cell the robot waits while the operator loads. In a twin layout, the robot moves to the second station and keeps welding while the operator handles the first. Effective duty cycle gets close to the welding time itself — exactly what you want when the bottleneck is robot occupancy, not part complexity.

That is what we build here: maximum throughput from a single robot. Two mirror positioners, sized to your part, with a partition wall on request to keep the operator safe while the torch fires on the other side. Same robot, same welder, double the parts per shift.

What we build into the cell

Base build vs Options — what we deliver

★ BASE BUILD
Robot + integrated welder + 2 mirror positioners.
A 6-axis industrial robot with its controller, a welding power source, and two positioners arranged in mirror layout — fully integrated, programmed and factory-tested. Everything below is optional.
  1. 01 — 6-axis industrial robot + controllerAnthropomorphic arm with its native controller cabinet, mounted between the two positioners (or pedestal-raised on request). Brand of your choice.
  2. 02 — Welding power source — integratedMIG/MAG, MAG-pulse or TIG, with synergic communication to the robot. Wire feeder, gas connection and torch sized to your process.
  3. 03 — Positioner A (operator-loadable side)Single-axis welding positioner — rotary table, servo turntable or headstock-tailstock — sized to your part. Synchronized with the robot path.
  4. 04 — Positioner B (mirrored)Identical to A, mirror-mounted. Both stations share the same fixturing footprint so a single program runs on either side, alternating.

★ All options · pick what you need

Anything beyond robot + welder + 2 positioners is optional — added only if you ask for it. None of these is mandatory:

  • Safety fence (mesh or polycarb) +
  • Interlocked access door(s) +
  • Partition wall between stations +
  • Safety light curtains +
  • Laser scanner safety system +
  • Cell status light / signal tower +
  • Emergency stop network +
  • External operator HMI panel +

  • Welding fixtures / clamping tooling +
  • Fume extraction unit +
  • Torch cleaning station +
  • TCP auto-calibration +
  • Laser or touch seam tracking +
  • Process monitoring +
  • Pedestal / raised robot mount +

Best for

When this build makes sense

High-volume series

Same part, day after day. The twin layout removes the load-time penalty: robot welds while operator unloads and reloads.

Balanced cycle / load times

Welding takes about as long as one load+clamp cycle. Twin layouts shine when these two times are comparable.

Two parts, two fixtures

Different but related parts on each side, with shared programs and quick-change tooling. One operator, two SKUs.

Manual-line replacement

Replace two manual welding stations with one robot. Same headcount, much higher throughput, more consistent welds.

Throughput-bound shops

The bottleneck is robot occupancy, not part difficulty. Twin layout is the most cost-effective way to push more parts per shift.

Long parts on a track

Add the optional 7th-axis linear track to extend the robot reach across the two positioners — useful for long beams or frames.

Tell us your part. We will build the cell.

30 minutes with one of our welding engineers. Bring a drawing, a video of the current process, or just a sketch on a napkin. We come back with a configuration, a documentation plan, and a quote — fixed scope, factory-built, integrator-installed.
