Cookie Policy

Effective date: 28 April 2026 · Version 1.0

This C-Policy explains how roboticweldingcells.com ("Website") uses small text identifiers and similar tracking technologies, what categories are deployed, and how you can manage your preferences. It complements the Website's Privacy Policy.

1. What they are

These small text identifiers are tiny files placed on your device by websites you visit. They serve a variety of purposes, including making the website function correctly, remembering your preferences, and providing aggregated information about how the website is used.

This policy applies to such files and to similar technologies (local storage, web beacons, pixel tags) that perform comparable functions.

2. Categories we use

We use only technical and functional identifiers. We do not use marketing, advertising, retargeting, social-media or behavioural-profiling files on this Website at the date of this policy.

2.1 Strictly necessary

These are essential for the Website to function correctly. They cannot be disabled without preventing the Website from working as intended.

Name Set by Purpose Duration
wordpress_* (multiple) WordPress (this site) Authentication for users with editorial access. Not set for normal visitors. Session / 14 days
wp-settings-* WordPress (this site) Stores admin user interface preferences. Not set for normal visitors. 1 year
__cf_bm Cloudflare Bot management — distinguishes humans from automated traffic to protect the Website from abuse. 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare DDoS protection — verifies the visitor passed Cloudflare's security check. 1 year (or until expiry/DC change)

2.2 Functional

These remember preferences you set, such as the language of the Website, to give you a more personalised experience.

Name Set by Purpose Duration
pll_language Polylang (this site) Stores the selected language (EN / FR / ES / IT / DE) so that the Website remembers your choice across pages. 1 year

2.3 Third-party badge

The Website displays a TrustedSite security badge (provided by McAfee) in the footer, which may set a technical identifier strictly to verify the badge's integrity.

Name Set by Purpose Duration
mcafee_badge_* TrustedSite / McAfee Verifies the security badge displayed in the footer. Session / up to 30 days

3. What we do not use

For transparency, the following common categories are not deployed on this Website at the date of this policy:

  • Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible or other web analytics services
  • Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads Pixel or other advertising/retargeting pixels
  • Newsletter / marketing automation files (we do not run a newsletter at this date)
  • Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, FullStory or other session-recording tools
  • Social media share buttons that load third-party trackers

If we add any of the above in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before deploying them, where required by EU law.

4. How to manage them

You can manage or delete these identifiers through your browser's settings at any time. The procedure depends on your browser:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

You can also:

  • Block all (the Website will not function correctly without strictly-necessary identifiers).
  • Block third-party only (the Website will function but Cloudflare bot-management protection may be reduced).
  • Delete existing identifiers at any time through your browser.

For more detailed guidance, see the website of the European Data Protection Authorities (edpb.europa.eu) or the Spanish DPA (www.aepd.es).

5. Legal basis

  • Strictly necessary identifiers are deployed on the legal basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, in combination with the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC). They do not require prior consent.
  • Functional identifiers (such as the language selector) are deployed on the basis of legitimate interest to deliver the user-experience you have explicitly requested by selecting a language.
  • We do not deploy identifiers that require explicit consent at this date (no analytics, no marketing).

If we add ones that require consent in the future, a consent banner will be shown before any non-strictly-necessary identifier is set.

6. Your rights

In addition to managing these identifiers through your browser, you can exercise the rights described in our Privacy Policy — including the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of any personal data linked to a tracking identifier.

For requests, contact: welding@eurobots.net with subject “C-policy request”.

7. Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy from time to time, in particular if we add or remove tracking technologies. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top. Material changes are communicated through a notice on the Website where required.
