About this cell
A compact, mobile and flexible welding cell built around a collaborative robot — designed to automate short batches and variable parts without a dedicated programmer.
From manual welding to flexible automation
Industrial welding robots are great for thousands of identical parts. But if your shop runs short series, variable references, frames or jigs, a fixed cell is overkill — and finding skilled welders is harder every year.
A cobot welding cell sits between the two. You teach it by hand, save the path, and run it like an extra welder on repeatable jobs — no PLC, no integrator, no fence required. It doesn’t replace your welder. It frees them from the repetitive 70%, so they focus on the parts that need real skill.
Five reasons shops switch to a cobot cell
- Productivity — more parts per shift on repetitive runs; the cobot doesn’t get tired or distracted.
- Quality — consistent travel speed, angle and parameters across operators and shifts.
- Ergonomics — less fatigue, less smoke exposure and less dependency on continuous manual work.
- Flexibility — switch parts and small batches without rebuilding a complex installation.
- Scalability — start simple, then add positioners, seam-tracking and fume extraction as you grow.
What’s included in the turnkey package
- Collaborative robot DOBOT CR10 — 10 kg payload, 1300 mm reach, hand-guided teaching
- Welding source AOTAI (default) or configured to your preferred brand: Fronius, Kemppi, Lincoln, Miller, Megmeet, Panasonic, OTC, EWM
- Welding torch with on-tool fume extraction
- Operator joystick + DOBOT teach pendant — no expert programmer required
- Mobile welding table with magnetic base
- Mobile pedestal — roll the cell to the next station
- Optional: laser seam-tracking sensor for parts with positioning tolerance or thermal distortion
- On-site commissioning, parameter tuning on one of your real parts, operator training
Designed for
Boilermaking shops · metal workshops · short and medium series (20 to 2,000 pieces) · repetitive parts with small variations · frames, supports, structures, base plates, jigs.
From test to production — without surprises
- You send us drawings or a sample piece — we assess feasibility
- We define the welding source, torch, fixtures and sensor sized to the job
- We weld your part in our facility before you commit
- Hands-on training — your operator programs the cell in 1 day
- Commissioning at your facility — you own the parameters and the jigs
Programmable by your welder. Maintainable by your team.
This is the cell that breaks the chicken-and-egg of automation: you don’t need to hire a robotics engineer to start using it. Hand-guided teaching, block-based UI for parameters, force-limited collaborative robot designed to work next to people. Advanced ROS 2 / C++ / Python API for integrators who need it. Open ecosystem — bring your own welding source and torch.
